چکیده

In this study, kenaf, a fast-growing plant, was pyrolyzed to biochar, and the biochar impregnated with aluminum improve its fluoride adsorption capacity. The Al-impregnated kenaf (Al-KNF-BC) at temperatures of 300–700 °C, where specimen treated 300 °C (Al-KNF-300) demonstrated highest kinetics equilibrium by Al-KNF-300 followed pseudo-second-order Langmuir models, respectively. According model, maximum capacity 13.93 mg/g. enthalpy entropy were 37.80 kJ/mol 124.1 J/mol K, Fluoride favorable pH values as low 3, effect anion competition order HCO3− > SO42− NO3− Cl−. A efficiency 99.23% obtained an adsorbent concentration 16.67 g/L, which point decreased from 100 < 1.5 mg/L (the drinking water standard). Based on these results, can be considered effective inexpensive for removing contaminated meet standards.

Phosphate adsorption on aluminum-impregnated mesoporous silicates: surface structure and behavior of adsorbents.

Phosphorus from excess fertilizers and detergents ends up washing into lakes, creeks, and rivers. This overabundance of phosphorus causes excessive aquatic plant and algae growth and depletes the dissolved oxygen supply in the water. In this study, aluminum-impregnated mesoporous adsorbents were tested for their ability to remove phosphate from water. The surface structure of the materials was ...

Adsorption of Hydrogen Fluoride on Alumina

In the smelting of aluminium, HF fumes are produced that are subsequently trapped by absorption onto alumina. The factors that affect the adsorption capacity of alumina have been studied previously and are weU established, but the mechanism by which HF adsorbs onto the alumina surface is not well understood. In this study, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was used to investigate the natur...
